Salvias are the largest genus in the mint family with nearly 1,000 species growing in many parts of the world. How they have adapted to various climates (and their pollinators) is a fascinating story. A story that has resulted in an extremely diverse group of plants, many of which we grow in our gardens. In this talk, John Whittlesey will share the diversity of salvias and recommend many to plant in the home garden.
