Christina Lewis

In 2007 Chris spearheaded the founding of Elderberry Farms Native Plant Nursery which is a project of the Sacramento Valley Chapter of California Native Plant Society. She continues as a co-director. She is a past president of the chapter and is a board member and has been an active CNPS member for more than 25 years. Her passion for native plants started with efforts to conserve them in their native habitat and broadened to gardening as a way to reach more people to help restore habitat for birds, bees, butterflies and the environment. She is a representative to the American River Parkway Coalition. She guest teaches at American River College and has a Bachelor’s degree in Social Welfare. Her greatest desire is to connect people with native plant habitat in natural settings and their own gardens.
